Minati Dash has worked for a decade with several development agencies in India, including grassroots organisations, development media and bilateral agencies on issues of livelihoods, mining, public health and climate change. She is a Freirean educator. She has previously taught at the Department of Sociology (Delhi University). Her academic and research interests lie in the areas of Politics of Development, Research Methods, Anthropology of Extraction, Anthropology and Climate Change, Adivasi and Land Rights, and Critical Agrarian Studies. Her current ethnographic work examines the transformations of peri-urban land and labour; and urban ecologies and planning.
